About this trip

Experience the charm of Provence with a small group of fellow travelers on an exclusive adventure, designed to create lasting memories and friendships. With Julia Girard-Gervois as our tour leader, you'll discover hidden gems and historical sites, as well as gain an authentic understanding of French culture and traditions. You'll visit a truffle farm to learn about truffle hunting, sample the freshest herbs of Provence straight from the fields, stroll through fragrant lavender fields, taste local olive oil and wine, browse colorful local markets, and even hang out with cowboys in the Camargue. Indulge in a moment of leisure at a charming local winery where we'll savor homemade delicacies and learn about the beloved Provencal game of  Pétanque, and for an authentic taste of the region, we'll participate in a cooking class with a local chef, using the freshest ingredients.

You will discover the picturesque towns of Provence, including St Remy, Lourmarin, and Avignon, each with their own distinct charm. Follow Van Gogh's footsteps in Arles and explore the sites that inspired his iconic paintings. You will visit Cezanne's studio in Aix-en-Provence for a glimpse into his world. Embark on our Provence journey and be immersed in the region's artistic heritage, indulging your senses along the way.

The adventure is hosted by Annie Baggett, who is dedicated to providing unique behind-the scenes experiences throughout the South of France. The itinerary is carefully crafted to showcase the top lavender-growing regions of France and other off-the-beaten-path destinations that are only possible in Provence. Through our partnership with TripUSAFrance, a small, family-run tour company specializing in French small group tours, you'll experience France like a local. Julia, the founder of TripUSAFrance, is a native of the South of France with a passion for sharing her knowledge of French culture and history. Their tours consistently receive rave reviews on TripAdvisor, and Annie worked closely with them to create this exclusive Provence tour, focused on our shared love for lavender. We're thrilled to partner with TripUSAFrance and can't wait to embark on this unforgettable adventure with you and create lifelong memories.

We just returned from France and thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Normandy with Christophe. His knowledge and excitement for the region enhanced the tour. My husband, a big history buff, couldn’t be more pleased with the tour. I was surprised at how much history the region holds. And it was beautiful in early May! The small group was perfect and made it easy to get acquainted with everyone. I highly recommend the Normandy tour !!!

Top notch in every way. Just the right amount of time (7 days, including Mont Saint-Michel, Rouen and Giverny. Fabulous local guide steeped in history and local perspective and perfectly sized group (16). Very happy with accommodations and restaurant choices. We are very seasoned Traveller’s. This was a great pick for us.

We had a wonderful and amazing experience in Normandy. Our tour guide, Christophe, was an excellent guide providing us with information on the area's culture and history. His storytelling helped us make connections to the people who lived here, thus enriching our experience and making it more meaningful. The accommodations were excellent and the food was delicious! We will definitely consider using TripUSA again for other excursions. Thank you for an excellent educational and historical tour.
